I beta read this book and was struck by the author's ability to breathe new life into familiar folklore concepts. The characters are clever and believable, the stakes feel real, and the possibilities for where the story might evolve from here kept my mind going for weeks. 10/10.
I loved this story. Bockholt's writing has the magic combination of relatability to his characters, and so-foreign-from-any-life-I-have-lived that sucked me in completely. It has just the right amount of details for my imagination to go crazy. Bring on the next part!
I beta read Bloom and really enjoyed it. Great unexpected plot twists that end up weaving together beautifully. I love that all the characters have depth and feel like they could be real people. Fantastic setup for the second book!
